Description

Cummins Rod Bearing RB-3802071 (0.25 mm) – OE 3802073 The Cummins Rod Bearing RB-3802071 (0.25 mm undersize) is a precision-engineered connecting rod bearing designed for diesel engines with lightly reground crankshaft journals. Manufactured to OEM specifications, this bearing directly replaces Cummins OE part number 3802073 , ensuring accurate oil clearance and reliable bottom-end performance in Cummins diesel engines . Undersized rod bearings are essential when crankshaft journals have been machined to restore surface finish or correct wear. The 0.25 mm undersized design compensates for minor material removal, allowing proper oil film thickness and preventing metal-to-metal contact under high combustion loads. The RB-3802071 bearing is manufactured using high-quality bearing alloys with advanced overlay technology to deliver excellent load-carrying capacity, fatigue resistance, and consistent wear characteristics. Precision shell geometry ensures uniform load distribution and stable crankshaft rotation during high-load and continuous-duty operation. This rod bearing is commonly installed during engine rebuilds, bottom-end overhauls, crankshaft machining repairs, and professional remanufacturing projects . It is trusted by diesel technicians, fleet maintenance teams, and engine builders who require OEM-level reliability and precision.
